Briggs & Stratton Racing and AKRA are pleased to announce a partnership in support of the new American Sprint Cup Series “Southern Tour” and “Northern Tour.”
Starting at the March 18-20 American Sprint Cup season opener at Carolina Motorsports Park, a Briggs & Stratton Brute® B2000 Inverter (portable generator) will be raffled off to a Briggs class entrant. AKRA officials will place every Briggs (Pro Gas Animal and LO206) driver’s names in a hat and randomly draw for the prize, which retails at around $440.00.
The Brute® B2000 Inverter raffles will continue at all American Sprint Cup Southern Tour and Northern Tour events in 2016.
“We’re thrilled to have Briggs on board for our exciting new American Sprint Cup program,” AKRA founder Bill McCutcheon stated. “Our series provides grassroots racers a welcomed place to compete and enjoy karting, and Briggs & Stratton has long shared our philosophies for a successful kart racing program, as is evidenced by the growingly popular LO206 engine platform. With the support of Briggs, we’re delighted to give away these terrific products at our events this year.”
Briggs & Stratton joins a growing list of sponsors of the new AKRA sprint series, which now includes Vega Tire, TS Racing, Razor Chassis, Roberts Kart Shop, Ionic Edge Chassis, MIKIM Motorsports, Radical Racegear and Briggs.
American Sprint Cup Series LO206 classes will follow the official Briggs & Stratton 206 Engine Class Regulations rulebook.
