CONCORD, NC – AKRA is proud to announce a return of a long-standing tradition to the national-level sprint karting scene in the form of Jostens championship rings that American Sprint Cup Series Grand National champions will have the option to win in their championship awards package.

Grand National Championship winners at Jacksonville October 21-23 will be awarded a championship trophy, Vega tires, karting-related product or certificates, and one “headliner” prize.

The headliner prize for each class champion will include a choice of one of several different awards. The championship ring will be one of these choices. If the champion is not interested in a ring, several other options will be available including a custom embroidered championship jacket, a Traxxas RC Truck and other products we’re currently lining up.

The big Grand National Championship – a “Shootout-style” event October 21-23 at 103rd Street Sports Complex in Jacksonville, FL – will see racers from the North and South compete for championship honors and a growing list of accolades that will be presented at an awards ceremony Sunday afternoon, October 23.

For those Grand National champions who wish to order a championship ring, certificates and order forms will be presented to championship winners at the conclusion of the Jacksonville weekend, and the rings will be paid for IN FULL by AKRA provided the class averaged at least five entries in either the Northern or Southern Tour in 2016!

If a class did not meet the five-entry minimum, the class champion will have the option of purchasing a championship ring at a discounted rate through AKRA, or choose another of the headliner award.

AKRA is excited to offer these terrific rings to commemorate champions of our inaugural American Sprint Cup Series. We’re looking forward to returning this tradition to sprint karting in 2016 and into the future!
